Full Description

The La Bella Otero Maduro Corona Five Pack brings together five of the darker, richer expressions of Cigar Art’s La Bella Otero collection.

Where the Blonde is cream, buttered toast, and café con leche, the Maduro moves into the evening.

Dark chocolate. Espresso. Earth. Cedar. Black pepper.

Built entirely around Nicaraguan tobacco, the La Bella Otero Maduro combines a dark Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler. In the traditional 6 x 44 Corona format, the wrapper plays an especially prominent role, giving the cigar a concentrated combination of natural Maduro sweetness and the earthy, spicy character of Nicaraguan tobacco.

The opening delivers dark cocoa, cedar, and earth, with black pepper building through the finish. As the cigar settles, those darker flavors become rounder and a subtle natural sweetness begins to emerge.

Through the middle, espresso, bittersweet chocolate, roasted nuts, and dark wood join the profile. The sweetness remains restrained and tobacco-driven, balancing the earth, coffee, cedar, and spice rather than overpowering them.

Toward the final portion, the chocolate becomes darker and the Nicaraguan core grows more assertive, bringing cedar, pepper, espresso, and earth back to the forefront.

The slimmer 44-ring-gauge Corona is particularly well suited to the blend. Its higher wrapper-to-filler ratio puts the Maduro leaf at center stage, creating a concentrated, aromatic expression with plenty of richness and complexity.

The Five Pack is ideal for discovering the Maduro Corona without committing to a full box—or for keeping several on hand when the occasion calls for something darker.

This is La Bella Otero after dark.

Rich. Dark. Sensual. Decadent.

Blonde vs. Maduro

The two La Bella Otero blends share a Nicaraguan heart but express two very different personalities.

La Bella Otero Blonde is the softer side: silky Connecticut with cream, buttered toast, almond, honey, cedar, and café con leche.

La Bella Otero Maduro is darker and more provocative: Nicaraguan Maduro with dark chocolate, espresso, earth, cedar, roasted nuts, and black pepper.

Blonde by day. Maduro after dark.

The La Bella Otero Story

A forgotten Cuban cigar. A legendary woman. A new chapter.

La Bella Otero was once part of Cuba’s extraordinary cigar tradition—a pre-Revolution marque that eventually disappeared.

But decades later, those original cigars became part of Cigar Art’s own history.

When Cigar Art opened in Dallas in 2012, genuine pre-Castro La Bella Otero cigars were among the rare vintage Cuban cigars offered in our humidor.

Behind the name is a woman whose legend seems particularly appropriate for the Maduro.

Carolina Otero—La Belle Otero— became one of the great personalities of Europe’s Belle Époque. A celebrated dancer, actress, courtesan, and international beauty, her public persona became synonymous with glamour, temptation, extravagance, romance, and scandal.

Today’s La Bella Otero isn’t an attempt to reproduce an unknown cigar from another century.

It’s a reimagining of its spirit.

And if the Blonde represents La Belle Otero beneath the lights of the stage, the Maduro belongs to what came afterward.

Beauty. Pleasure. Indulgence.
